Black Rebel Motorcycle Club sounds almost too much like The Jesus and Mary Chain, a prominent alternative rock band that was at its height during the mid 80s and early 90s. Never the less, BRMC’s bluesy spin on garage rock is worth checking out. They’re almost a more somber version of G Love and the Special Sauce.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is a collaboration between two guys that switch between bass, guitar, keyboards, and vocals – Peter Hayes and Robert Levon Been. They met in Lafayette, CA, near San Francisco, but have since moved to LA. They’re current drummer, Leah Shapiro, grew up in the UK.
