Kind of like a cross between Dirty Pretty Things and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Sunshine Underground give post punk a funky edge. I’m going to go out on a limb here and call them The Rapture of the UK.

Some of their songs have more of a mainstream, radio-friendly sound, but this jam Put You in Your Place, makes me want to go out and buy their album and see them live. This is the kind of band that could bring all kinds of energy at a live show.

Formed in 2005 in Leeds, UK, The Sunshine Underground have already headlined their own sold out shows in the UK and have opened for the likes of LCD Soundsystem.
