Born ‘James Murphy’ and currently going by ‘James Murphy,’ James Murphy is the creator and brain child behind LCD Soundsystem, a band that has experienced almost entirley positive critical acclaim, and a huge following in the UK, and in hipster bars across the US. For what its worth, they were even featured as a top 50 album of the last 25 years by Entertainment Weekly.

Though not as well known as their second release Sound of Silver, LCD’s self-titled first album includes the instant classic Daft Punk is Playing at My House as well as this jam, Tribulations. Unlike many of the Daft Punk sound-a-likes out there, LCD Soundsystem has a definitive punk and indie rock edginess.
