Referred to in some circles as just Cope, his real name is Clarence Greenwood. His band consists of him on the six string and vocals, two pianists (yes, I spelled that correctly), a bassist, and a drummer, but if you ever see Citizen Cope live, its clear that all of the music revolves around Clarence.

Their sound fuses all kinds of styles – Hip Hop, Jam Rock, Funk, Blues, etc – so they attract fans of all types of music. Citizen Cope is especially popular amongst people spending winters in Aspen, Steamboat, or Jackson Hole. Clarence has successfully attracted the ski-bum demographic.

Cope also collaborated with Rhymefest for his song Bullet.
